Moments of great calm,Kneeling before an altarOf wood in a stone churchIn summer, waiting for the GodTo speak; the air a staircaseFor silence; the sun’s lightRinging me, as though I actedA great role. And the audiencesStill; all that close throngOf spirits waiting, as I,For the message.Prompt me, God;But not yet. When I speak,Though it be you who speakThrough me, something is lost. The meaning is in the waiting.R. S. Thomas

A-Z Challenge Day 11- Kneeling
2 comments:
Welcome to my blog. I always love receiving comments; do feel free. If you're visiting from the A-Z challenge (or even if you're not!) could I thank you for your patience in using the dreaded captcha verification thingy. It's a pain, I know, but I've had problems with spam in the past and would rather keep Greenpatches as a junk-free zone.

My knees won't allow me to kneel unless the surface is quite soft. But it's a position that surrenders all, in prayer you should!
